The Mac is the one platform the teleprompter world takes seriously, so the options are real: Teleprompter.com has a Mac app, PromptSmart covers the Apple ecosystem, Vodium targets meetings, and the App Store is full of studio-style prompters and little notch utilities. But as of July 2026 each one picks a lane. The studio apps prompt beautifully and record nothing. The meeting tools sit in calls but don't advertise voice-following — and their overlays aren't technically guaranteed to stay out of a screen share. The notch apps park text by your camera and stop there.

   Install Lumi on macOS 13 or newer

   Download the Mac app and open it. macOS will ask for microphone and camera permissions the first time — grant them so FlowPrompt can hear you and the recorder can see you.
